Join the Celebration: Todd Baright's Impact on Red Hook

Aired October 19, 2024

In Red Hook, New York, community spirit thrives through the recognition and celebration of outstanding citizens. The Red Hook Rotary Club, under the auspices of the Red Hook Rotary Foundation, hosts an annual event to honor a community member who exemplifies the Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self." This tradition began in 2001, highlighting individuals who contribute significantly to the community.

This year's honor goes to Todd Baright, a man whose roots are as deep as they are humble, beginning his journey on a family farm in Pleasant Valley. Todd's story is one of community engagement and entrepreneurial spirit. He has taken the helm of various business ventures in Red Hook, including a local hardware store with historical ties and multiple community-centric businesses like car washes and storage facilities. Beyond business, Todd's commitment extends to aesthetic and social contributions, like installing brass plaques to share the historical narratives of buildings and organizing public gatherings to foster community spirit.

Todd's volunteer work is equally notable. He has served nearly two decades on the board of Hudson Valley Hospice, enhancing the quality of life for terminally ill patients and their families. His efforts ensure that the end-of-life experience is as comfortable and dignified as possible, integrating services like music therapy to ease patient suffering.

The celebration of Todd Baywright's contributions will take place at the Red Hook Community Center on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased through the Red Hook Rotary Club's website or at local municipal offices.

This event not only celebrates Todd's myriad contributions but also acts as a significant fundraiser for the Rotary Foundation, which supports scholarships and other community initiatives. For those interested in joining the festivities and witnessing the power of community recognition and support in action, please visit www.redhookrotaryclub.org for tickets and more information.
